We are delighted to announce that HTA Design has become a Certified B Corporation.
The B Corp movement exists to promote change to our economic system, addressing society’s critical challenges, to benefit all people, communities and the planet. It aims to make business a force for good, driving higher standards of social and environmental responsibility, by balancing purpose with profit.
As a practice, we believe the goal of B Corp aligns very closely with our culture and core values. Already recognised as a leading employer, and with a deliverable plan underway to reach net zero, we felt it was important to measure our performance more empirically against the benchmark standard set by B Corp. The rigorous assessment was completed over the course of a year, and was both validation of our approach, and an invaluable signpost to further improvements in how we operate. The “B” in B Corp stands for “Benefit for All,” and validates HTA’s long-standing commitment to ethical business practices, transparency, and accountability in every aspect of our practice.
We are thrilled to join this growing global community, to be able to share lessons and best practice with like-minded businesses. It is another exciting step forward for HTA to advance our mission: to create great places to live, be a great place to work, and operate in the most sustainable way possible.
