HTA Design has been shortlisted in two categories for Architecture Today’s Test of Time Awards.
The Test of Time Awards focus on longevity, celebrating buildings that demonstrate the continued success of their environmental, functional, community and cultural ambitions.
Hanham Hall, completed in 2013, is shortlisted in the Residential category. A pioneering large-scale residential community located in South Gloucestershire; Hanham Hall serves as a flagship of the Homes and Communities Agency’s Carbon Challenge. The development features 187 high-performance homes for private and affordable rent, designed to meet the 2016 zero-carbon standard while effectively blending suburban living with the surrounding green belt.

Greenford Quay, completed in 2013 is shortlisted in the Landscape + Public Realm category. The project has transformed a derelict brownfield site into a leading example of climate resilient urban neighbourhood. A remarkable 40% of the masterplan, is dedicated to green public open space. This includes a new public plaza with dancing fountains, serving as both a cultural hub and a refreshing playspace, and a stone amphitheatre fronting the restored canal banks which is in constant use by residents and local people.
These projects demonstrate that commitment to design, sustainability, and community create lastingly popular neighbourhoods and homes.
