Chris Brierley

Architectural Assistant (Part II)

BA(hons), MArch(Dist)

Whilst at HTA, Chris has contributed to the planning submission of Quadrant House, a retrofit project featuring three towers with varied tenures, including co-living. Located next to Sutton station, the scheme serves as a significant wayfinder in the borough and is designed as a build-to-rent scheme. Chris has also assisted with Whittingham Hospital, set in a woodland area outside Preston. The proposed scheme integrates architecture that connects with the historic natural routes from the site’s previous function as a Victorian hospital.

Chris has experience in social housing within the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, designed to Passivhaus standards. The massing of this proposal and the large nature of the site presented an opportunity to create a new park for the local community, alongside two private courtyards for residents. He has worked on this project from RIBA stages 0 to5.

Chris is passionate about sustainable design and sensitive place-making, aspiring to craft homes that serve residents, the wider community, and the planet.
