Serra Ardor

Serra joined the Sustainable Futures team in 2025 after graduating from the Environmental Design and Engineering MSc at University College London. During her studies and experience as an architectural assistant, Serra developed a strong interest in the relationship between architectural design and building performance, with a focus on creating sustainable, inclusive and comfortable living environments. This informs her approach within HTA’s interdisciplinary team, where she works closely with architects, engineers and consultants to support the integration of sustainable environmental strategies throughout the design process.

In her role as a Building Physics & Sustainability Consultant, Serra contributes to projects across RIBA Stages 1-5, undertaking early-stage environmental testing and detailed assessments at planning and technical stages. Her work includes completing energy, overheating ,microclimate and daylight assessments for compliance, thermal bridging analyses, and supporting sustainability certification processes, such as BREEAM and HQM.

Alongside her project work, Serra is actively engaged in the wider industry through her involvement with the CIBSE Young Engineers Network and ENGRL: Girls in Engineering, contributing to events and initiatives that promote knowledge sharing across the built environment sector.
