Shaped planning strategy, balancing tall building policy with the local heritage context
HTA Planning supported Islington Council in bringing forward proposals for the redevelopment of a disused bus depot within Archway Island. The project formed part of a wider site allocation for mixed-use development, and required sensitive coordination alongside already-completed neighbouring schemes. Despite the site's challenging geometry, the final proposals introduced new homes and local facilities within two contextual tall buildings, marking a key step in the area’s ongoing regeneration.
