HTA led the planning strategy for the redevelopment of the former Mayfield Hostel site in Lewisham, working closely with Metropolitan Workshop to unlock its potential for affordable housing. The planning team first addressed viability issues with an earlier, unbuilt scheme, supporting Lewisham Council’s ambition to make better use of the site. This led to a revised proposal of 64 homes in three buildings of three to six storeys. Homes are delivered as Affordable Rent and Shared Ownership, responding to local housing need and policy priorities.
