A revised planning strategy transforms a redundant site into much-needed affordable homes for Lewisham
HTA’s planning team worked with Metropolitan Workshop and Lewisham Council to bring forward a viable proposal for the former Mayfield Hostel site. The approved scheme delivers 64 new affordable homes arranged around a generous central courtyard, replacing an earlier, unviable scheme and reasserting the site’s value for housing. Thoughtful massing, sensitive design and a collaborative approach helped unlock a challenging brownfield site for community benefit.
